Claremont Physios treat Rotherham United football players with revolutionary Shockwave Therapy

Claremont Private Hospital’s Physio Department has recently been using Shockwave Therapy to help 2 Rotherham United Football Club players…with great results.

This new and innovative treatment uses pulsed soundwaves to generate a ‘shockwave’ effect to treat chronic tendon problems.  2 players have recently been treated by Claremont Physios and have seen results in as little as 3 sessions reducing pain and stiffness, allowing them to train normally.  The shockwaves generated by the machine stimulate blood flow to the problem area, helping to break down scar tissue and create a kick-start to the natural healing process of the body.

Shockwave Therapy can be used for most chronic tendon problems and is supported by clinical research to demonstrate it’s benefits on injuries that have not responded to conventional treatments.  Shockwave Therapy is effective and safe to use on the vast majority of people.  Shockwave Therapy has been shown to be an effective treatment for common problems such as Achilles Tendonopathy, Plantar Fasciitis, Patella Tendonopathy, Tennis Elbow and Golfer’s Elbow.  Other tendon problems may be appropriate for treatment on discussion with the Physiotherapist.

Matt Adamson, Senior Physio at Claremont said “The Claremont Physio Department is one of the only places locally to own a Shockwave machine.  We work closely with our Orthopaedic Consultants to provide a comprehensive and bespoke package of care depending on the condition and the patient.”

Shockwave Therapy needs an initial 3 sessions priced at £300, then per session (£100) after this as required for the patient to see the best results.  A complementary review session is included in these prices.
