Training & background:
Dr Al-Joudeh is a Consultant Hepatologist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, with a private practice at Claremont.
He is a Consultant Hepatologist and Honorary Clinical Lecturer with the University of Sheffield. He qualified from the medical school in the University of Damascus, Syria and completed his specialist training in hepatology & gastroenterology in South Yorkshire including a dedicated hepatology training fellowship in Leeds and Sheffield.
He is currently a member of the hepato-biliary cancer multi-disciplinary team and is the lead for the liver cancer service in the department of Hepatology at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. He developed a special interest in the management of fatty liver disease, developing management pathways. He offers comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures which assist in the management of liver and biliary diseases.
He participates in teaching locally and regionally for GPs and hospital-based doctors at The University of Sheffield.
Dr Al-Joudeh sees patients with early and advanced liver and biliary diseases, requiring various endoscopic procedures.
