Training & background:

Dr Brittain is a GP at Broomhill & Lodge Moor Surgeries and part of the Claremont Private GP Service.

She qualified from The University of Sheffield in 2006 and completed her foundation training in South Yorkshire in general medicine, general surgery, urology, stroke medicine and psychiatry. She then went on to GP training in Sheffield and undertook Paediatrics, Haematology, Psychiatry and Obstetrics and gynaecology alongside general practice. She completed her GP training in 2011 and has since worked an NHS GP in Rotherham, the Peak District and more latterly Sheffield.

Dr Brittain has a special interest in women’s health and is a member of the Faculty of Reproductive and Sexual Health of the Royal College of Gynaecologists. She has also completed a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology as part of her interest in this field of medicine. She is competent in fitting implants/coils and can undertake smears.

Dr Brittain also has an interest in medical education and is currently undertaking a Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Education at The University of Leeds.
