- Period problems (heavy, painful or irregular)
- Abnormal uterine bleeding
- Pelvic pain
- Ovarian cysts
- Minimal access surgery (hysteroscopy & laparoscopy)
- Out-patient hysteroscopy
- Out-patient endometrial ablation
- Out-patient polypectomy
Training & background:
Mr Baxter is a Consultant Gynaecologist who has an established private practice at Claremont.
He trained in Manchester and completed a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery before becoming a Consultant at the Royal Hallamshire in 2002. As a specialist in keyhole surgery, his areas of expertise include the investigation and treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding and endometriosis. He is Lead for the Sheffield Endometriosis Centre.
Mr Baxter is a national trainer and specialist in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery. His interests include the management of abnormal uterine bleeding, the treatment of endometriosis, day-surgery ‘keyhole’ hysterectomy and out-patient gynaecology (including hysteroscopy and endometrial ablation for heavy periods).
