Training & background:
Mr Bayley is part of Sheffield Orthopaedics Ltd (SOL), proudly in partnership with Claremont Private Hospital. In addition to Claremont’s CQC accreditation, SOL has it’s own CQC accreditation and is part of Claremont’s 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on-call consultant cover provision for inpatients. SOL Consultants are integral to the reduced length of stay Claremont patients enjoy, compared to other providers.
Mr Edward Bayley is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in spinal surgery at the Northern General Hospital, with a private practice at Claremont.
He was a medical student in Nottingham graduating in 2003 and undertook basic surgical training in various centres around the country, before undertaking a Research post in Spinal Surgery in Nottingham.
He did my Orthopaedic training in the East Midlands North Deanery before undertaking Spinal Fellowships in Nottingham (Royal College of Surgeons of England Approved Fellowship), Leicester and Sheffield.
Mr Bayley has a full-time practise in the NHS in Sheffield and out-patient clinics with SOL at Claremont and is happy to see and assess patients with all types of spinal conditions.
