Mr Davies is part of Sheffield Orthopaedics Ltd (SOL), proudly in partnership with Claremont Private Hospital. In addition to Claremont’s CQC accreditation, SOL has it’s own CQC accreditation and is part of Claremont’s 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on-call consultant cover provision for inpatients. SOL Consultants are integral to the reduced length of stay Claremont patients enjoy, compared to other providers.
Mr Davies is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Northern General Hospital, with a private practice at Claremont (Sheffield Foot & Ankle Centre).
Mr Davies was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2006 with a special interest in treating elective and traumatic conditions of the adult foot and ankle at the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield.
He qualified from the University of Southampton in 1993 and undertook basic training in London, Oxford and Swindon prior to commencing Orthopaedic training in Sheffield.
He is both Fellowship trained in Limb Reconstruction techniques (Sheffield) and in Adult Foot & Ankle surgery, having spent 2005 working with the renowned Dr Terry Saxby at the Brisbane Foot & Ankle Centre.
He currently directs the research being produced from the Sheffield Foot & Ankle Unit into all manner of foot and ankle pathologies. He has published extensively on all aspects of foot and ankle surgery.
Mr Davies became the Honorary Secretary of British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (BOFAS) in November 2017.
