Specialises in

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Northern General and Royal Hallamshire Hospitals, with a private practice at Spire Claremont Hospital.

I specialise in hip and knee surgery and have a specialist interest in complex joint replacement including revision surgery for infection and massive bone loss.

I trained at the Royal Free and University College Medical School in London, obtaining a first class degree and qualifying with a Merit award in 2004. I undertook basic surgical training in the southeast before moving to Cambridgeshire and Norfolk for my specialist Orthopaedic training. I was appointed to the highly respected Cavendish Arthroplasty Fellowship in Sheffield to further develop his interest in complex hip and knee surgery.

Since 2014 I have been an expert member of the Beyond Compliance Advisory Group that helps to monitor and advise on the safe introduction of new or modified implants. I continue to be involved in hip and knee related research and education.

In 2015 I was appointed as a consultant hip and knee surgeon at the Royal Derby Hospital before returning to take up my current consultant post at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals in 2017.
