Dignostic hysteroscopy
(Examination of the uterus)

Dignostic hysteroscopy (Examination of the uterus)

Minimal waiting times and high-quality care at your fingertips at Claremont Private Hospital

A hysteroscopy allows your surgeon to examine your uterus (womb) and treat any identified problems. The procedure is carried out using a long and narrow telescope with a light and camera at one end, called a hysteroscope. Many women who have experienced very heavy or irregular periods, bleeding after menopause or between periods, or other abnormal bleeding choose to have a hysteroscopy and Dilation and curettage (D&C) to determine the cause of these symptoms. The procedure can also help discover whether you have polyps, fibroids, an abnormally-shaped womb or endometrial cancer.

With all procedures undertaken using the latest techniques in our state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll be in safe hands at the award-winning Claremont Private Hospital. If you have been advised to undergo further tests and require a hysteroscopy, contact us today to arrange a consultation with one of our experts.

We offer an all-inclusive self-pay package, with prices starting from £1,007 (T&Cs apply). For more information and eligibility criteria, speak to one of our self-pay advisors by calling 0114 386 5999.
